The Saturday before Christmas and the malls were jam packed.
The traffic was worse, a headache I had.
The words were not rolling, the air had a chill,
the pumpkin risotto would hopefully give cheer.
I in my "house clothes" and Mr W in his too,
had just settled down for an evening of the tube.
When what to my wandering eyes did appear?
But new books by authors I truly hold dear!
Oh what joy did fill my soul as I perused the Kindle Fire achive and behold!
Friends old and new, dear and not quite,
but words that held meaning to someone this night.
Books have been friends, for years untold,
and my TBR is too high to behold!
But just as I flicked to turn the page anew,
I wished I could share the love I hold true.
So to all who will see, and all who already know,
books are a gift that last and bring Joy!

Just another day... maybe

All right. Sometimes a woman just has to admit she is technologically challenged. I admit it. I've spent 4 days trying to figure out how to change my blog to look more... just more. I'm going to force someone I know and love dearly to learn how to run a blog and let them take over.

Ok, now that the confession is off my chest, let's see what today has in store? Hmmm, housework, laundry, groceries and writing. Still. Writing.

It's a struggle for me sometimes. I love to write but I get halfway through a book and always hit the wall. I'm getting better though. I have a short story coming out in the summer of 2013 (of which I will speak more of later.)

But for now, I leave you with this short thought...

If at first you don't succeed, try try try try again with chocolate, hunky men and your drink of choice.
